Bitzy

🔎 Overview

"Bitzy" is an open source font shaped by a long, slow love for letters and typography.

A part of my childhood revolves around me playing my handheld brick game in my uncle's workshop while he practiced Farsi (Persian) calligraphy with care and patience, which sparked my interest in type, fonts, and hand drawn forms.

I learned the basics when I was 7. The interest stayed with but the patience didn't follow. As I grew older, I found the same pull in graffiti and street lettering. I love how a group of letter can shape a characters and fit into forms and expressions.

After years of wanting to honor that mix of influences I had back then, a combo of brick games on hand-held consoles and typography, I finally turned it into Bitzy.
